Chocolate Circus at the York Christmas Market are returning with their new special Stacked Hot Chocolate for the festive season – and it sounds simply divine.

The decadent delight will feature your choice of a classic or specialty-flavoured hot chocolate topped with a chocolate chip cookie, a layer of whipped cream and flame toasted marshmallow – along with the classic York wafer.

For those looking for an extra special treat, you can also add a splash of Baileys!

Or you can try the brand new 'Melting Pot' - an edible chocolate cup filled with soft marshmallows, molten chocolate poured fresh from a flowing chocolate tap, a sprinkle of biscuit crumbs, a swirl of toasted marshmallow fluff, and a classic York wafer to finish. It’s a rich, indulgent experience that combines chocolate theatre with festive comfort.

York Christmas Market is at Parliament Street and St Sampson’s Square from Thursday 13 November to Sunday 21 December 2025.

Chocolate Circus have been delighting York Christmas market-goers for over 10 years.

For this special hot chocolate, they’ve teamed up with independent baker Beth from Beth Bakes Cakes. Each Stacked Hot Chocolate is adorned with a deliciously gooey cookie, which has been expertly made by Beth.
